At the regional, French grinding tradeshow AFF'Tech (27-29 March 2025, Auxerre, France) in Hall 1 E60, TIGRA presented in particular a wide range of blanks that are used to process metal and composite materials after final machining by the customer:
PCD such as PcBN is available in the form of discs or segments. Depending on the type of application and the material to be machined, TIGRA uses optimum grades to achieve the best results with stationary and rotating tools. TIGRA offers various PCD grades that can be optimally wire-cut or laser-cut by the customer. The discs are available with different total and PCD/PcBN layer thicknesses and as segments with and without angles.
Customized preforms according to individual customer drawings were also a priority. Depending on the application, TIGRA manufactures carbide preforms in a wide variety of dimensions and geometries, with insert seats and cooling holes and in batch sizes ranging from 1 to large series.
As sintered and ground carbide rods with or without cooling channels, standard milling cutter blanks with different cooling channel variants as well as carbide blanks and blanks for positive and negative inserts in the most common versions for subsequent PCD and PcBN tipping completed the wide-ranging product program.
